This anchor is a pre-assembled, four-component expansion anchor, often referred to as a sleeve anchor. The complete assembly consists of:
- The Eye Bolt: A high-strength bolt featuring a precision-forged, closed eye loop instead of a standard head. This design provides a secure and reliable point for connecting rigging hardware.
- The Expansion Sleeve: A cylindrical steel shield that encases the bolt shank and features expansion slots.
- The Expander Cone: A tapered, threaded nut located at the anchor’s base.
- The Nut and Washer: A top-side nut and washer used to tighten and set the anchor.
Installation is achieved by inserting the complete anchor assembly into a pre-drilled hole. As the top nut is tightened, the eye bolt is drawn upwards, pulling the expander cone into the sleeve.
