Steel Blind Rivets for industry

Steel Blind Rivets for industry

We offer a comprehensive range of factory-direct, open-type blind rivets, a fast, simple, and highly effective fastening solution for a multitude of industrial applications. Also known as “pop rivets” or “rivet nails,” these fasteners are designed to create a strong and permanent joint between two or more pieces of material, even when access is limited to only one side—hence the term “blind.” Available in a variety of materials including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, our blind rivets provide a cost-effective and reliable method for assembly in manufacturing, construction, and repair work.

Product Details

A blind rivet is a two-piece fastener consisting of a rivet body and a setting mandrel.

  • Rivet Body: This is the main component of the fastener. It features a flange or head on one end and a hollow shank. During installation, the body is inserted into a pre-drilled hole through the materials being joined. The standard head style offered is the Dome Head, which is the most common and provides sufficient bearing surface for a wide range of applications.
  • Mandrel: This is a pin with a necked or weakened break-point that runs through the rivet body. A riveting tool grips the mandrel and pulls it, causing the end of the rivet body to deform and expand on the “blind” side. This expansion clamps the materials together securely. Once the joint is tight, the mandrel breaks off at its pre-determined point, leaving a clean, set rivet. The mandrel is typically zinc-plated (white or yellow) for corrosion resistance.
  • Open-End Type: This is the most common and economical type of blind rivet. After setting, the hollow rivet body remains open. This design is suitable for most general-purpose applications where the joint is not required to be watertight.

  • Versatile Material Options: Choose from Steel for strength, Aluminum for lightweight and corrosion-resistant applications, or Stainless Steel for superior corrosion and heat resistance.
  • Reliable General-Purpose Fastening: Creates a strong, vibration-resistant joint suitable for a wide array of industrial and commercial uses.
  • Cost-Effective and Efficient: Offers a lower in-place cost compared to many other fastening methods due to its rapid installation and low component price.
  • Factory-Direct Supply: As a direct manufacturer, we offer competitive pricing, flexible packing options, and responsive service.
  • Wide Range of Sizes: Available in a broad selection of diameters and lengths to accommodate various material thicknesses and strength requirements.

Product Applications

The versatility and ease of use of open-type blind rivets make them a staple fastener in numerous industries:

  • Sheet Metal Fabrication: Joining panels, enclosures, and brackets.
  • Automotive: Assembly and repair of body panels, trim, and internal components.
  • HVAC: Assembling ductwork, plenums, and mounting equipment.
  • Appliance Manufacturing: Used in the assembly of refrigerators, washing machines, and other white goods.
  • Construction: Attaching facade panels, gutters, roofing elements, and window frames.
  • Marine and Boating: Fastening components where corrosion resistance is key (using aluminum or stainless steel rivets).
  • General Industrial Assembly: Used in signs, furniture, electronics enclosures, and more.
